During your spring cleaning endeavors, you may have thought that you got in a pretty good cleaning. You used your favorite all-natural cleaning products to scrub all the nooks and crannies in the bathroom, you organized all your kitchen cupboards, and maybe you even practiced a little bit of Feng Shui to help harmonize your living spaces. Despite all of the hard work you’ve done, there are a few things you may have missed that are in dire need of a good cleaning. These things are fairly easy to clean and only take a minimal amount of time. Here are a few things you should make time to clean this week that you may have forgotten about while spring cleaning. Are You Spring Cleaning These Commonly Forgotten Things?Coffee MakerWhen was the last time you cleaned your coffee machine? Because I use mine to make both coffee and tea, I clean it about every week (in addition to using separate filters for the coffee and tea). Cleaning your coffee machine is easy! Simply mix one part water to one part white vinegar and run the coffee machine as you normally would. Repeat once more with the same water and then give the coffee pot a good scrubbing to remove any spots or grime. To finish, use clean, fresh water to run through your coffee maker again to eliminate the vinegar taste. Dump that water and run it again with fresh, cool water. Voilà! Like new. Air VentOne of my favorite YouTubers, Gabbie Hanna, has been doing a series where she deep cleans her house and to her shock, her viewers, and myself it was revealed that apparently, you should replace the air filter in your air vent once every 30 days. Not just spring cleaning the outside, but physically replacing the filter. Mind-blowing? It was for me. Use a non-toxic spray cleaner and a paper towel to clean out the dust or anything else trapped in the outer piece. Computer KeyboardHow often do you use a keyboard on either your laptop or computer? Now, how often do you clean it? If you’re like me, not as often as you should. Making sure that the laptop is unplugged or that your keyboard is unplugged and off, gently flip the keyboard upside down to remove any crumbs or dust. Next, use compressed air to spray around all of the keys. Finish off cleaning your keyboard by using a towelette and gentle cleanser to remove any spots or stains. Which of these things did you already clean the first time around? Which do you still need to clean? Let me know in the comments below.
