It might not always be easy, but staying positive is important
There is an old quote by Henri Matisse that states, “There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” How can we apply this positive mentality to our own, and our children’s, lives? Take, for example, the loss of a job. Whether you have resigned or been laid off, it is a blow to the psyche. You may have thought you were on the path to success, be it climbing the corporate ladder or building your brand, and it can be gut-wrenching to have the carpet torn out from under you. Finding the proverbial flowers in the cracks of the sidewalk is your way to a better tomorrow. Remember that you can, and will, find something better for you in the end. By thinking about what inspires you daily, what brings you the most happiness, you can find out what you are truly meant to do with your life and will help you with staying positive. Passion is the driving force behind business, love, careers, and success. What you thought was your pathway to success may just well turn out to be a dead end, thus forcing you to pivot one hundred and eighty degrees and start anew. The pursuit of happiness, your life’s journey, it all whittles down to one thing, following your heart. By being true to yourself, and following your intuition, you are providing yourself with the best self-care possible. You will be setting an example for your children and encourage them to keep staying positive during their lives. An example to not give up when they make a mistake, to keep trying until their goal is reached, or to know when it’s time to change directions and move on. This can protect your children from:
Never fall victim to circumstance. There is always a bright side to every situation, although it may take a while to figure out just what it is. Take inventory of your life today, and get ready to make some changes, whether minor or major, there is a garden of opportunity awaiting you. Staying positive is not always easy, but it makes the harder points of life so much more manageable.
